Property Rights

This series asks who owns the land, by whose authority, and with what rights? It examines the American government’s ongoing legacy of property confiscation, and the resulting community resistance. From North Dakota (Standing Rock) to Pennsylvania, Hawaii, New York, and the Mexican border, Property Rights chronicles contested lands and property loss. Its divergent communities and issues share a common call to respect other people’s lands, as well as their most precious property, their lives.
